Angel Gotti was born in 1961 in Queens, New York, United States, to her parents, John Joseph Gotti Jr. and Victoria DiGiorgio. Her father was an American mobster and leader of the Gambino crime family in New York City from 1986 to 1992.
He became the boss of the criminal organisation after he sanctioned the assassination of his predecessor, Paul Castellano, in a gun battle. John faced run-ins with the law on numerous occasions due to his criminal activities. For instance, in 1968, he was arrested for his role in a plot to steal thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. He was released in 1972.
He was released in 1972. Later, in 1992, he was convicted on several criminal accounts, including racketeering, tax evasion, and five murders.
The same year, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole. The former mafia boss was later diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998. Unfortunately, he died on 10 June 2002 while in prison. Angel grew up alongside her four siblings, John A. Gotti, Frank, Peter, and Victoria Gotti.
