The Federalist writer who instantly became a meme when Meghan McCain tweeted at her, 'You were at my wedding, Denise' in response to harsh criticism has apologized after being fired from the publication after making homophobic comments in a series of tweets. In a since-deleted tweet, Denise McCallister wrote that HuffPost writer Yashar Ali 'doesn’t know his purpose as a man' and 'wallows and tries to find himself in another man’s a**hole'  after he quoted an earlier tweet from McCallister about not interrupting her husband while he's watching NCAA basketball, writing, 'Oh Denise [frowning face emoji]' and later wrote, 'I guess Denise is not happy that I’m worried about how her husband treats her.
