En Español Tunisia's Fakhreddine Ben Youssef scored the 2,500th goal in World Cup history in their match against Panama. The first goal in the World Cup was scored by Laurent on June 13, 1930. The French footballer opened the way for his team's victory against Mexico, with the the final result favorable for France at 4-1. The Brazilian, Leonidas, scored the 100th goal in the 1934 edition.
