Just last week, a rare 50p coin sparked a bidding war and sold for fortune – with thousands out there. With just 210,000 of these coins in circulation, it's no surprise why it's popular.
It was released to mark the 250th anniversary of the London landmark. The coin features the iconic Chinese Pagoda which is located at the touristic hotspot.
Days after the first bid, it reached an eye-watering £109, which is around 220 times its face value. And in the end, the total reached £162. The seller also charged £3.29 for Economic Delivery.
