Selena Gomez's 'TikTok shade' receives seal of approval from iconic TV star

Selena Gomez is busy promoting her new single, Single Soon, due to drop at the end of this week, and recently used one of Kim Cattrall’s iconic Sex and the City lines, and Samantha herself, has shown her approval.

Recently, Selena Gomez has been killing the game on social media, with fans calling her an ‘active queen’. Her latest post, however, has almost ‘broken the internet’, as fans somehow link the viral clip to her ex Justin, and his wife, Hailey Bieber.

Kim Cattrall approves of Selena Gomez’s ‘iconic’ TikTok

Taking to TikTok, and Instagram, the Disney Channel alum posted a short clip promoting her new single. Ever since being spotted with music producer Fred Again a few weeks ago, fans knew this was on the cards, and the day has (almost) arrived!

In the reel, the 31-year-old can be seen with a sleek bun and big gold hoops, whilst stunning in an orange corset top.

The star can then be seen mouthing along to Samantha Jones’ iconic Sex and the City line, when one of her lovers ends things with his wife, only for her to not recognize who he is.

“It’s over, I told my wife,” he says, while she responds: “Who is this?”

Selena can be seen using her hand as a phone as she sassily turns her back away from the camera at the end.

It seems like Samantha herself was amongst the millions of fans commenting on the post, as she the TV star took to social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, to write: “I approve this message…[lip emoji].”

In the caption, the star wrote: “Single Soon this Friday!” A marketing genius, as some would say.

Just days after Selena shut down Miley Cyrus feud rumors, it looks like fans have ‘reignited’ the Hailey Bieber ‘feud’ as they came to the conclusion that Gomez was referencing their marriage.

“THERE’S NO WAY THAT DOESN’T MEAN WHAT WE KNOW IT MEANS,” exclaimed one fan.

“‘I know Justin’s punching the wall and Hailey is reading the comments on this post!” commented another.

One TikTok user penned: “The subtweet of the century.”

“My mouth hit the ground,” wrote another.

One wrote: “This commented section is TOO messy.”
